The Hiko and Peacemaker era over at OpTic has well and truly ended, as the coach has now been dropped from the team.
Hiko is already seemingly out of the door, with no new team in sight and during the week OpTic announced that coach Peacemaker has also been cut from the team. The announcement was made in the latest episode of the OpTic documentary series Vision.
The end of the episode features interviews with some of the remaining players and Peacemaker himself, about the decision to cut him. A number of reasons were given for the decision, ranging from him being overly emotional in some situations, to lack of results from recent events.
Peacemaker said the he believes that if he came in during a time when OpTic had a stable roster and was given more time he would have made a very good coach for the team. Unfortunately the unsettled Green Wall is looking to get back to the top as soon as possible and he just didn’t fit with their ideas.
It’s also worth mentioning that the OpTic Vision series is actually really good. It doesn’t always focus on CS:GO, with the OpTic CoD and Halo teams also featuring along with other staff, but it does give a bit of a behind the scenes look at the life of those in the Green Wall.
